Your body is communicating with you all the time.
Sometimes through sensation. Sometimes through tension, warmth, breath, movement, emotion, or a subtle sense that something is there before you quite know what it is.
Listening from Within is a gentle guided meditation designed to help you slow down, notice what is present, and become more familiar with your own felt sense.
This is not a meditation that asks you to search for memories, uncover something difficult, or force an emotional experience.
Instead, it offers a simple way to practise listening.
You’ll be guided to notice the support beneath you, soften your attention into the body, and become curious about what is already there.
noticing sensation without needing to explain it
becoming more aware of how your body communicates
staying with what feels manageable
allowing sensations to move, change, or pass naturally
returning to something steadier if you begin to feel uncomfortable
enjoying ease, warmth, stillness, or simply the feeling of being in your body
coming back to the present before moving on with your day
You can use this meditation on its own, or alongside the Body Awareness Toolkit to support reflection and body mapping afterwards.
It is also a useful introduction to the body-awareness practices I use in my 1:1 and group work.
Each time you return, the experience may be different.
Over time, you may begin to recognise more of your body’s own language and how you want to respond to what it is communicating.
A gentle place to begin.
Includes a 15-minute guided meditation + accompanying Body Awareness PDF for notes and reflection.
